Forklift impact damage usually takes place at the base of pallet racking uprights and can pose a major risk to forklift operators, warehouse employees, products and the racking system.
Investing in post protection is an economical way to prolong the life of your racking and minimise the risk of damage.

Each rack protector is:

• Constructed from heavy duty thick plate steel
• Powder coated finish in safety yellow for high visibility
• Securely fixed to the ground with heavy duty concrete anchors

Available as a Corner Guard, Body Guard, End Frame Barrier, Acerack Upright Guard and second hand Dexion Smart Guard.

Corner Guard

Constructed from heavy thick plate steel the corner guard is designed to be a sacrificial unit to deflect impact, bend and offer the system side protection. This unit needs to be anchored into the ground via heavy duty concrete anchors.

Body Guard

Unlike regular metal guards this revolutionary design is formed from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) and developed to absorb the impact force and diffuse it through the guard rather than the post. EPDM holds elastic properties that ensures the unit maintains its shape and has been tested to ensure it is fully functioning in any temperature (up to +50 and down to -40 degrees Celsius).

End Frame Barrier

The end frame barrier is a heavy duty system, formed from thick plate steel. These barriers are designed to fit at the end of runs of racking and offer protection from passing traffic by deflecting the impact damage away from aisle ends.

Acerack Upright Guard

The upright guard is fitted immediately in front of the upright and is used to provide some degree of protection to the uprights. Upright guards are mainly used on corner frames to protect from damage due to impact from forklifts.

Second Hand Dexion Smart Guard
These secondhand SmartGuard protectors, clip-on to the racking, wrap-around the upright and have been tested to FEM 10.2.02 standards to provide impact resistance from forklift trucks or other lifting equipment up to a height of 800mm. The SmartGuard design fits all grades of 90mm uprights and is anchored to the upright with two tongues, which fit into the SmartGuard clips, locking the protector to the upright.
